Regulations & requirements
Dried fruits and nuts in the EU are subject to the aflatoxin and contaminant limits of Regulation (EU) 2023/915, and sulphured apricots to the 2000 mg/kg SO₂ limit of Regulation 1333/2008. Some products of Turkish origin (e.g. dried figs, pistachios) may be subject to increased official controls under Regulation (EU) 2019/1793, in which case shipments are accompanied by a certificate with official analysis results.
Labelling follows the Food Information Regulation 1169/2011 in the local language, with sulphites highlighted as allergens. Retail chains often require GFSI-recognised audits such as IFS or BRCGS; we plan these processes together with the buyer.
This information is a general guide; we confirm current regulations with you before each order.
